Our luxury vacation home "Sandhill Villa" is located in the “Westridge” sub-division just off Highway U.S. 27 - approximately a 15 minute drive to Walt Disney World’s main gates and 30 minutes of Orlando International Airport (depending on traffic), and within minutes of Highway U.S. 192 and I-4. “Sandhill Villa” is tastefully furnished and decorated and very clean. Optional electric pool heat is available and is recommended during the cooler months. Free DSL wireless Internet. Start your day by enjoying your morning coffee while sitting at the table in the attached screen-enclosed pool area under the covered lanai where you may observe some of Florida’s wildlife in its natural setting while gazing over the approximately 4 acre pond and wooded conservation area. Bring your binoculars along to take a closer look! After a day of sight-seeing come home to relax in the large southwest facing pool while cooking your dinner in our fully modern, well equipped kitchen or barbeque outdoors on the gas grill (unless you prefer to take full advantage of your vacation and eat in one of the many restaurants available in the area). Before retiring for the evening in the King Size bed, Queen Size bed, or one of the 2 Twin beds, you may want to enjoy full relaxation in the reclining chair or one of the 2 reclining love-seats while watching a movie or cable television. PlayStation 2 for the kids. “Sandhill Villa” is fully air-conditioned/heated with ceiling fans throughout for added comfort. Bed linens and towels are provided (except beach towels). We also provide free local and long-distance telephone service within the United States, a safe for storing your valuables, washer and dryer - iron and ironing board, and a hair dryer. The key is available on-site in a lockbox … no need to go elsewhere for access to the home. Our full time Caretaker is on call 24 hours, if needed. The "Westridge" community offers a good mix of both residential and rental homes which gives a nice relaxed feeling about our community with its rolling hills and very pleasant central park where you will find a cabana, community pool, children's play area, lit tennis, basketball and volley-ball courts.
Sandhill Villa features cathedral ceilings throughout the main living areas and master bedroom, an open and airy floor plan, central air-conditioning/heating throughout with ceiling fans in the main living area, office and bedrooms for added comfort. Comfortably furnished the Living Room has a 32” color television with expanded cable and remote control, a DVD and VCR (some movies are provided), a portable stereo radio/CD/tape player, and a PlayStation 2 with a few games. A door-wall gives way to the screen enclosed southwest facing pool/lanai. The Kitchen is complete with a stove, refrigerator/freezer with automatic ice maker, microwave oven, automatic dishwasher, garbage disposal, 4 slice toaster, coffeemaker, Mrs. Tea, blender, electric can opener, fire extinguisher and a wall phone. Dishes, glasses, cutlery, silverware, bakeware, pots and pans are also provided. Seating for 6 is available at the attached snack bar. The kitchen and dining room are separated by a large archway. The Master Bedroom features a King Size Bed, remote control color cable television, a ceiling fan, alarm clock, wireless telephone and a walk-in closet. A door-wall lends way to the pool/lanai. The attached master bath features a garden tub and a large, separate glass enclosed shower, “his and hers” sinks and a vanity stool so you can sit and relax while doing your hair and make-up, and a toilet, of course. The second bedroom/SECOND MASTER has a Queen Size Bed with a window facing the side of the home, a large closet and is decorated in a palm them. It is equipped with a remote control ceiling fan, alarm clock and color cable television. The third bedroom has two Twin Size Beds and is decorated in a whimsical African mommy and baby animal theme. It's window faces the pool area and has a large closet. In the closet you will find a shelving unit with a collection of games and toys for all ages. This room is also equipped with a remote control ceiling fan, alarm clock and color cable television, and window alarm. The Second Bathroom is accessible not only from inside the home but from the pool area as well (no need to go through the house with wet feet to use the bathroom!). It features a single tub/shower unit, sink and toilet. The Office has 2 desks and 2 office chairs, and a reclining chair, a wireless telephone with answering machine and cable television. We have Verizon DSL wireless high-speed internet service. Bring your lap top along. Computer and accessories are NOT included, sorry. This room also offers a place to get away from the kids and enjoy watching TV or reading by yourself. The Laundry Room has an automatic washer and dryer, ironing and ironing board. Baby Accessories: An umbrella type stroller. We also have some toys, games, and videos for younger guests. In the Screen Enclosed Pool/Lanai area you will find a table and six chairs located under the “roofed” area, 2 sling-type lounge chairs (2 folding ones are stored in the garage), 2 end tables and 2 towel holders, and a pool toy hamper. A Gas Barbeque Grill is located just outside the screened room door. The pool has flood-lighting. There are child safety alarms on the doors and window leading to pool as an added precaution. The screening keeps insects out while still allowing in the sun. Our Caretaker is on call 24 hours a day in the unlikely event you encounter any problems. ABSOLUTELY NO PETS ALLOWED - SMOKING IS PERMITTED IN THE LANAI (outside) AREA ONLY. Sandhill Villa is fully licensed by the State of Florida and Polk County and is fitted with smoke alarms, a fire extinguisher and emergency lighting. The key is on site in a coded lock box - no need to go elsewhere for entry. Our home is cleaned between bookings at no extra charge on bookings of 7 nights or more (there is a charge for bookings less than 7 nights). RECOMMENDATIONS: We receive many nice letters and e-mails from our guests after they return home and several re-book for the following year. This letter from a recent guest (which I will "quote") sums it up best... "Just a quick note to say how much we enjoyed our time at your villa. We loved the setting and tranquility, it was beautiful to be able to sit by the pool and look out on the countryside and not see another house at all. It also had everything we could possibly have needed in the way of facilities - I'm tempted to say it was home from home - except it was better than home!!! We got to see Sea World, Epcot and Kennedy Space Center which we really enjoyed and location wise it could not have been easier. All in the villa was a great hit with our family! When I get myself organized I will send back your questionaire but I can assure you there will be no negative comments! Thank you once again and who knows, we may be back again some day?!"
