It is hard to describe using words alone. It's just that sheer feeling of quality and comfort that runs right through everything. The immediate wow-factor you get when you first set foot through the front door leaves you in no doubt that you've hit on one of Orlando's best finds.Achieving this was not easy. When it came to furnishing the home we took a no-holds-barred approach and engaged the service of a renowned interior designer to make sure everything gelled together and felt right. She's done such an amazing job that my words fail to describe it. Some have said that it is like walking into a model home, but in reality, it's way better than that.If you want to know more, please do read on ...Imagine ... spending the day trying to decide if the sky is bluer than the pool, or the pool bluer than the sky. What shall we do today? A question you so often ask yourself when vacationing in Orlando. You know that Disney is only about a 10 minute drive away and that you have very easy access to I-4 which will get you to Universal Studios, Sea World or Busch Gardens in next to no time. You want to do some shopping, but there's something stopping you. It stopped you doing any of this yesterday, and looks like doing the same today. It's outside. You can see it through the window. Even this early in the morning the sun is coming over the top of the home throwing sparkling flecks of light off the south facing pool that look like a million lightning fingers beckoning you to jump straight in. You know that the sun won't quit until it finally sets. Just there over to the right of the pool screen. Just over the approach to the 2nd green where yesterday you watched so many golfers, some of them searching amongst the pine trees for a mis-hit shot. You spent yesterday by the pool; at least until the sun got too hot and forced a temporary retreat to the shade of the lanai. You can't spend another day by the pool. Can you? Even as this thought dances through your head you catch yourself looking at the deeply padded loungers. Yours is still exactly where you left it, giving you the most amazing view over the golf course when you raised your eyes just a fraction over the top of your book. The children are already asking you to take the lock off the door so that they can have a quick swim. Just a quick one. They promise. They promised yesterday, and you spent the whole day by the pool. Surely today you should be at a theme park. Yesterday was such a good day though. You can't spend another day by the pool. Can you?Imagine ... having so much choice, yet choosing none of it.What shall we do tonight? The question begs to be answered even before you are out of the shower. You know that you've been in the shower far too long, but big showers just do that for you. It's such a nice change from those tiny cramped showers you typically get in a hotel room.Maybe you'll try a new restaurant. They are all so close that you haven't yet eaten at the same place twice. Then possibly a walk around Down Town Disney. You think back to last night's take-away. It was so nice being only a short walk from the Chinese, and the food was delicious. You had planned to drive up to Downtown Disney last night but you got so comfortable watching a movie that the evening just seemed to slip by. The children were away in the den playing on the PS-2. It's such a good idea to have it in it's own room. You didn't hear a peep out of them all night. They seemed to be as quiet as a (Disney) mouse.Quality Designed InGetting this kind of magical feel into a vacation home is not easy. It takes time, energy and lots of committment. When we started looking for our home we knew exactly what we wanted. We worked towards the end product in the same way that a top chef sees the exact dish they want to create and then works all the ingredients, preparation and cooking towards producing that perfectly presented and exquisitely tasting meal. With Highlands Reserve we found what we still believe is be the most gorgeous place for a home. The time spent researching which lot would have the best view, where the sun would rise and set, where would the pool be, how would it all work together, was time well spent indeed. We had to wait over a year for the developer to release our lot and then almost another year until our home was built. But good things come to those who wait, and all those days walking around the community when it was just a barren patch of sand became so worthwhile when we first set foot throught the front door.Wow! That's the only way to describe our reaction. When you see it for yourself, how will you describe yours?Support and ServiceHaving the most fantastic home in Orlando is nothing if it isn't backed by a similar standard of service. I take a huge personal pride in the quality of service I offer to my guests and do my very utmost to offer the kind of personal service that turns a wonderful vacation into something just that extra bit special. A recent guest described this as like having a personal host and travel guide whenever they wanted, a kind of 'ghost host'.New additionsWe recently installed a great upgrade to the spa control system. It now takes only a single twist of a switch to fire up the spa system, even at night when the pool pump would not normally be running. This clever new system also controls the spa temperature independent from the main pool temperature, and boy is it currently set hot. It's safe to say that relaxing in the 100+ degree bubbles with a beer or nice glass of wine, watching the sun set over the golf course is just idyllic; and if it's late when you get back from the theme parks, a dip in the spa makes a perfect end to a perfect day.Try it early in your vacation, because you'll love it so much that you'll want to spend every evening this way.
